What We Believe

We believe in one true God revealed in the Bible as the Triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – Deut. 6:4;  John 10:30;  Matt. 28:19

We believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. It is true, reliable, and effective in changing lives. Our primary purpose is to preach and teach the Bible with integrity and authority. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20

We believe that God loves and accepts us unconditionally. God offers us complete forgiveness through the work of Jesus Christ. Our motivation to follow Christ is based on love and thankfulness. We are set free to follow Christ. Galatians 5:1-2

We believe that everyone has a role to play in the church. We encourage all believers to discover and use their spiritual gifts. Ephesians 4:11-12

We believe that our congregation is a community of faith. God works consistently in our congregation through committed relationships. Our congregation maintains an atmosphere that strengthens marriages, families, and organizations that provide supportive and caring relationships. We accept our role in the larger community of all believers. Acts 2:44-46

We believe that our gathering for public worship is a vital and powerful time. When we gather together, we strive for sincere, heartfelt worship and a joyful celebration of the sacraments. Romans 12:1-2

We believe that God hears and answers prayer. We rely on prayer to guide all of our ministry activity. We pray for one another for all our needs. Matthew 7:7-8

We believe that becoming a Christian is the start, not the end, of following Christ. God calls every believer to grow in spirit and in truth. We are committed to providing biblical instruction and relationships that encourage growth. 2 Peter 3:18

We believe that people are precious to God. We welcome new people to our fellowship and look for ways to introduce others to Jesus Christ. Luke 15:7, John 13:35

We believe that God calls us to be responsible stewards of the gifts He has given us. We believe the priorities of our Father in heaven should be our priorities as well. Matthew 25:15-32

We believe that we should show the love of Christ in our world. We seek out and support practical projects that serve our community and our world. Matthew 5:15-16
